Successful Business Cards
Successful Business
Cards
Majority of businesses and many individuals use business
cards as a form of communication to clients’ customers and
potential customers. Business cards are non intrusive and are
very positive.
Not only are they regarded as a necessary marketing
tool they accomplish so many tasks at once.
For example, they not only do they have your phone number
and address for easy contact. But they have a sole point of
advertising.
Once on person has your card they will pass on your good
service to many people instead of directing them to a phone
book or tell them to ‘Google’ which both have multiple ads for
the same thing.
The key to a successful business card is to make sure you
utilize the space you have, with all the information that you
need to get across to your customer. There are the basic types of
information that you’ll want to include, such as your
name, your company, your title within the company, your
phone number, and your address.
There are, however, some other things that you can add to
your business card to make it stand out in the crowd.
Before you start designing your business card, ask yourself
what do you want to achieve by handing out your business
cards?
And once you have that answered, how am I going to make my
business card stand out from the Joe Blogs who also does what I
do? And lastly why would someone want to keep my business
card?
Once of the most important things that you can do is to keep
your business card as short, sweet, and simple as possible.
‘The more the better’ is not always a good thing in a business
cards case. Only crucial information is required!
The design you have on your card has to be eye catching making
people want to look at it and read the details you have on your
business card. You’ll want to choose a logo so that you
individualize your card.
Don’t choose colours to go on your card that are to
eccentric such as only having neon colours that make people
squint every time they want to read it. Use maybe one neon for
something that really needs to stand out and a few other
colours that compliment the neon.
Or so you understand. Take some time to design the
perfect logo for you, or have the company where you order your
cards to give you some logo ideas.
Also remember every card has two sides and this is your chance
to use the back of you card to make the customer want to keep
your card instead of just throwing it out once it has served
its purpose.
You can maybe use this space to put directions on how to get
to you or you can put a mini Calendar on there or you can use
it as an opportunity to give you customer something free or
discounted upon showing of the card.
But remember your goal is to keep your business
card as functional as possible so you can reach as many
customers as you can with your message.
